Lynne Rowley MBE

It is with great sadness that we share with you that Lynne Rowley MBE, BAPO Chair from 2015 to 2021, passed away on 18th November 2024. In September this year, Lynne was awarded BAPO’s Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of the extraordinary impact she had on the P&O profession where she leaves behind a great legacy. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her, and our thoughts are with her family who have asked us to share the information below.

Following the passing of our beloved Lynne, a celebration of her life will be held at 11.00 on Saturday the 21st December 2024 at South Lanarkshire Crematorium (31 Sydes Brae, Glasgow, G72 0TL).

Lynne hoped that people might feel able to attend in something other than Black.

After the Crematorium we would dearly love everyone to join us at the Crutherland Hotel, (Strathaven Road, East Kilbride, Glasgow, G75 0QZ) for a more informal celebration of her life.

It would greatly help the hotel to cater for us if you were able to RSVP to the informal celebration by emailing  lynnerowleycelebration@outlook.com to let them know you are attending.

We look forward to celebrating Lynne’s life with you.

Chris, Andrew, and Beth Rowley.
