Job Vacancy – Prosthetic and Orthotic Outreach Officer

The Strategic Interventions in Health Education (SIHED) programme, funded by the Office for Students (OFS), is a new programme which will deliver a range of interventions to increase awareness of allied health professions, including prosthetics and orthotics, and support student recruitment.

The Outreach Officer will join the SIHED team to design, develop and deliver a programme of outreach events and activities to engage our target audiences. To be considered for this role it is essential that you have a strong track record of delivering targeted outreach activities alongside solid experience of working within a healthcare, higher education or charity environment. The successful candidate will have strong communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to positively engage with stakeholders and partners. Knowledge of marketing and communications delivery and evaluation would be an advantage. This role is ideally suited to someone who is keen to be part of an innovative and significant programme supporting the future needs of patients and students.

The British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO) is the UK professional body dedicated to promoting our profession and supporting our clinicians to provide the highest level of clinical care for our service users. Prosthetics is the specialist medical discipline that involves the assessment, design and provision of artificial limbs. Orthotics is the specialist medical discipline in which external orthoses or braces and supports are assessed, designed and fitted to an individual to provide correction or prevention of a physical deformity; stabilisation of a joint or joints; reduction of pain; pressure offloading and improvement in mobility or performance.

This person would be based in the South of England working on behalf of BAPO funded by OFS. They will be required to travel to different locations to promote the profession.

BAPO Social Media Policy

The use of Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Blogs, etc) is now widespread. Therefore BAPO Members must understand that their personal and professional conduct when using social media should be of an appropriate standard as to not put themselves at risk of any accusations of misconduct or inappropriate behaviour that may lead to action being taken against them. Members should consider that the general principles stated in BAPO Ethical and Professional Conduct for Prosthetists and Orthotists apply as well as the guidelines set out in this document and both documents should be read in conjunction with each other. All Members should abide by these guidelines as failure to do so will put a member’s membership at risk:

  • Members must maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)(Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and with the; BAPO Ethical and Professional Conduct for Prosthetists and Orthotists
  • Members must never post any personal information about any patient/client or colleague unless they have proof of their consent to do so • Members must never post any comments that could be considered defamatory
  • Members must maintain conservative privacy settings and be aware that information they post online may be read by anyone and also remain available to view for a long period of time
  • Members should not accept friend requests from any current or former patients/clients
  • Members should be conscious of their online image and how it may impact on their professional position and that of their profession as a whole
  • Members must fully understand that Social media can blur the boundary between personal and professional life and that comments made on a personal level may also reflect on them professionally
  • Member’s online discussions, posts, comments and behaviour must be of an appropriate professional level

Confidentiality:

Social media, can provide Members with an opportunity in which they can discuss their experiences within their own clinical practice. However it may be possible that any material published, uploaded or posted could become and remain available in the public domain. It is therefore important that Members exercise extreme caution when discussing any specific cases. Members have a legal and ethical duty to protect patient/client confidentiality as stated in the Confidentiality Section of the BAPO Ethical and Professional Conduct for Prosthetists and Orthotists. Any member disclosing information about a patient/client without proof of their consent will be considered as a breach of their duty.

Appropriateness:

Discussions about patient/clients and clinical practice with colleagues can have professional and educational benefits. Members should avoid specific informal discussions about patients/clients. It would be considered inappropriate for Members to make any personal derogatory comments or false statements about a current/past or future patient/client or colleague. Even anonymous comments about any specific patient/client or colleague will be considered as a breach of confidentiality and an act of unprofessional conduct that will put a member’s membership at risk. Members should be aware that it is possible that anonymous postings can be traced. Members must take into consideration how their posts will reflect on themselves as professionals and how this may influence or affect the public’s trust in the profession as a whole.

Defamation:

“False written (Libel) or spoken (Slander) information/communication that is made either in public or in private that intentionally causes harm to a person’s reputation; has a negative impact on them and reduces the regard or respect in which the person is held; or causes the person to become the subject of ridicule, hatred or inducesderogatory, hostile, or disagreeable opinions against the person to which the initial information/communication relates to.”

Defamation may be a criminal or civil offense. Members must never post any comments or upload any information that may be considered defamatory. This applies to all comments uploaded or posted whether they are made in a personal or professional capacity and regardless if they are made in private or on a public platform.

The act of making an unjustified statement about an individual and/or an organisation that is considered defamatory could lead to action taken against and also put a Members Membership at risk.

A general rule would be: “Even if you stop for a moment to ask yourself is this appropriate to post? Then do not post it.”

Privacy and Personal Information:

The use of social media can blur the boundary between private and professional lives. Members must be aware that personal material they post about themselves or share with friends can possibly be accessible to a wider audience and that once posted it may be difficult to prevent it from being widely shared. Personal information about themselves may be accessible by patients/clients and this may cause problems with patient/client relationships. It is therefore important that members should ensure that they review their privacy settings and restrict their public personal information. They should keep personal information to a minimum and keep it professional.

Friend Requests:

Relationships between Members and their patients/clients should remain on a professional level and based around their clinical care. It is important to maintain this professional boundary to maintain trust between Members and their patients/clients and reduce the risk of any exploitation by either party. Therefore Members who receive friend requests from current or former patients should not accept these requests and politely refuse them explaining that professionally it would be inappropriate for them to accept a Friend invite.

Conflicts of interest:

Members should declare any potential conflict of interest when endorsing a product on line. This duty applies even where Members may anonymously post material. Failure to declare any conflicts of interests could affect public trust and compromise the Members professional status. Social Media and Professionalism: Members should always maintain a professional manner when posting comments or uploading material regardless if this is in a professional or personal capacity and understand that when they make a comment it will have potential to impact of their professional standing. They must take into consideration whether anything they upload or post could compromise public trust or undermine confidence on their profession.

Professional Networking

Professional Networking via platforms such as LinkedIn and others which may be open to the public or restricted to professionals of certain disciplines are also covered by this Social Media policy. However, it is widely accepted that the use of professional networks and forums can provide educational and professional benefits and easily bring together individuals and allow them to discuss their experiences and clinical practices where previously this was not possible. Members must however exercise caution when actively engaging with professional networks and ensure that they abide by this Social Media Policy. Members should act in a professional manner at all times and restrict personal information that they post about themselves. They must maintain strict confidentiality with regards to any current or previous patients/clients. Members must never post any comments that could be considered defamatory and always declare any conflict of interest.

It carefully considers issues that have a direct bearing on the daily practice of Prosthetists, Orthotists, Technicians, Support Workers, and Learners.       With over 20 years’ experience in the NHS complimenting various multi-disciplinary teams in the acute and community settings, Christian is a Clinical Specialist Orthotist in Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College Hospital.  He is the vice-Chair of FDUK, and sits on the Professional Affairs committee within BAPO, the steering panel of the pan-England Diabetes Foot Network and the RHIVA clinical group.

      Christian’s interest and enthusiasm for sharing clinical knowledge, experiences and education with clinicians and patients has seen him running and participating in various multi-disciplinary conferences.

        Chiazoka Ezeuzo

        PUBLIC HEALTH AND SUSTAINABILITY LEAD

        Hi, I am Chiazoka Ezeuzo (Mary),
        I am an internationally trained Prosthetist and Orthotist, from Nigeria, currently practising as an Orthotist with Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. I have over 5 years of practice. I am passionate about leadership, education and preceptorship programmes to ease transitioning of graduates into full practice. My enthusiasm to always learn and improve my skills prompted my joining the BAPO editorial committee to work together with other members in building the BAPO connection and the general association.

          Dawn Crofts

          COMMITTEE MEMBER

          Dawn Crofts graduated from the University of Salford in 1999 with a degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics. She started her career as a Prosthetist in the West Midlands and developed her career to become the Prosthetic Manager at Wrexham Artificial Limb and Appliance Centre. Dawn worked in private practice for several years and had the opportunity to fit some of the most advanced prosthetic componentry available. She has an interest in writing expert witness reports and has studied for a MA in Medical Ethics and Law. Dawn is based in the West Midlands and works for Blatchford Ltd as the National Clinical Lead for Prosthetics.

            Tanja Scherrer

            Tanja began her career as an orthotics technician before completing her BSc and MSc in Prosthetics and Orthotics. Now Principal Orthotist at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board in Wales, she leads service development across adult and paediatric orthotics. Passionate about multi- and interdisciplinary working, Tanja focuses on improving patient care by integrating orthotics more closely with wider healthcare teams.

                Laura graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2007 and works as an Advanced Practitioner within the Orthotic and Orthopaedic services at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Laura has a specialist interest in musculoskeletal conditions of the foot and ankle, she holds a NRS Careers Research Fellowship and is currently undertaking a PhD. She has taught internationally and extensively throughout the UK on the subject of orthotic management, and is passionate about supporting other clinicians in their career development.

                  Tab Heeley

                  Tabby graduated from the University of Salford in 2017, and began her career working as a prosthetist across the West Midlands and North Wales. Since March 2024, Tabby has taken up the role of Clinical Skills Tutor at the University of Salford, and has also taken on the Clinical Standards Officer role within BAPO. She continues to enjoy practising prosthetics one day a week, at the Wrexham Artificial Limb and Appliance Centre
                  Tabby is openly autistic, and has a special interest in neurodiversity; through her work with the University and with BAPO, she hopes to challenge perceptions of autistic people both within our profession, and in the wider world. 

                    Editorial Committee

                    The Editorial Committee is responsible for producing our professional members’ magazine, BAPOConnect. The magazine is published three times per year and is free to all BAPO members. The magazine is also available by subscription to other interested parties. The Editorial Committee produces and edits the content and organises the printing and distribution of the magazine.

                    Ankit Singh

                    CHAIR

                    Ankit Singh is an HCPC-registered Prosthetist and Orthotist currently practicing with the NHS in Scotland. He holds postgraduate qualifications in Prosthetics and Orthotics from the University of Strathclyde in 2019, Scotland, and undergraduate credentials from the University of Delhi, India back in 2016. Ankit has presented his research at several international conferences, including most recent at ISPO World Congress (2023 & 2025) and ISPO-TIPS Netherlands (2025), focusing on patient-centred care, gender-specific prosthetics, and innovative approaches in cranial remoulding orthosis.
                    With a strong background in 3D printing technology, multidisciplinary collaboration, and evidence-based clinical practice, Ankit is passionate about advancing rehabilitation outcomes through innovation and education. He is an active member of BAPO, ISPO- U.K and OPAI-India with license to practice both in India and U.K, and has received multiple recognitions for leadership, communication, and patient care excellence.

                      Sahar Wardle

                      Since graduating from the University of Salford with a bachelors in Prosthetics and Orthotics, Sahar has thoroughly enjoyed her work as both a Prosthetist and Orthotist in the Republic of Ireland, UK and USA. She particularly enjoys the challenges and nuances of neurorehabilitation and paediatrics. Since returning to the UK, she has provided ad hoc support to multiple clinics as a Locum Orthotist, as well as widening her clinical scope by taking on the role of a Registration Assessor for the HCPC.

                          Usama Bin Yar

                          I am a clinical prosthetist and serving at Kent & Medway Prosthetic Centre formerly known as Disablement Services Centre – Gillingham. I am committed to advance prosthetic practice through evidence-based care, professional collaboration, and continuous learning. My clinical experience has enabled me to work closely with individuals requiring prosthetic rehabilitation, providing patient-centred solutions while staying informed about the latest developments in prosthetic technology and clinical practice.

                          Throughout my career, I have developed a keen interest in promoting high standards of clinical practice and contributing to the growth of the profession. I value the role that professional publications play in disseminating knowledge, encouraging innovation, and supporting clinicians in delivering the best possible care in Gaza, Ukraine and Pakistan.

                          I am honoured to be a member the BAPO Editorial Committee as an opportunity to contribute my clinical perspective, assist in maintaining the quality and relevance of published content, and support the sharing of research, case studies, and professional insights that benefit both practitioners and patients.                             Natalie Chinn

                            I qualified as a Prosthetist/Orthotist BSc (Hons) at the University of Salford in 2017 and in 2019 I completed a Masters by Research in Biomechanics, Biomedical Engineering, and Human Movement Science. The focus of my research is upper limb prosthetics, adolescents, and sports. I am a member of The Salford Institute of Human Movement and Rehabilitation and am committed to developing as a clinical Prosthetist who undertakes research.

                              Akansha

                              COMMITTEE MEMBER

                              Akansha is a Clinical Prosthetist and Orthotist with an international outlook and a strong commitment to advancing evidence-based practice within the profession. She holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Prosthetics and Orthotics with distinction from the University of Delhi and has gained extensive clinical experience across leading rehabilitation and prosthetic-orthotic centres in India.
                               
                              Her professional interests include biomechanics, gait analysis, paediatric rehabilitation, lower-limb orthotics, and the application of emerging technologies such as 3D printing in prosthetic and orthotic care. Akansha has actively contributed to the global prosthetics and orthotics community through presentations at international conferences, including the ISPO World Congress and ISPO Netherlands, where she presented research on innovative and affordable 3D-printed solutions for paediatric patients and advancements in orthotic design. She has also presented at BAPO scientific meetings on orthotic abandonment and interdisciplinary collaboration between orthotists and podiatrists.
                               
                              As a member of the British Association of Prosthetics and Orthotics (BAPO), the International Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO), and the Orthotics and Prosthetics Association of India (OPAI), Akansha is passionate about fostering international collaboration, promoting research dissemination, and supporting professional development across the global prosthetics and orthotics profession. Through her role on the Editorial Committee, she aims to contribute to the exchange of knowledge and best practice that strengthens patient care worldwide.

                                Executive Committee (EC)

                                The Executive Committee (EC) is accountable to and acts with the authority of the members. It develops the strategy, policy and direction of the Association and ensures that members’ interests are represented in all areas.

                                Dr Nicky Eddison

                                CHAIR

                                Nicky has been working as an NHS orthotist since 2007; she is currently a Consultant Orthotist and service manager at the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. She is also an Associate Professor at the Centre for Biomechanics and Rehabilitation Technologies, Staffordshire University, with a keen interest in research. Nicky has published work in several internationally peer-reviewed journals and completed her PhD in 2018.

                                    Dave Buchanan

                                    COMMITTEE MEMBER

                                    Dave Buchanan is the Group Training, Education and Development Manager for AM-Heathcare.

                                    He graduated from Salford University in 1999 with a first class honours degree and a top student award.

                                    He started his professional life as an Aircraft Engineer with the MOD and RAF. At that time he was a Party Leader in the RAF Mountain Rescue Service but unexpected life changes ended with him attending Salford University in 1995; And what turned out to be the best move of his life!

                                    Since 2014 Dave has been at least partially responsible for some of the orthotic systems our profession uses around the world and has worked, and lived, around the Globe working for the biggest manufacturers and educators in the P and O sphere.

                                    He speaks German, and actually taught his first Knee-Ankle-Foot-Orthosis course in his developing language only 8 months after beginning to learn it, whilst living in Germany. It wasn’t very good.

                                    Dave’s clinically visible roles generally revolve around the support of people hoping to gain specialisation and expertise in Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthoses, Ankle-Foot-Orthoses and joint systems in the treatment of complex caseloads. But he has also presented internationally on the holistic and orthotic treatment of Osteoarthritis in both a clinical and developmental roles and continues to work in the R and D sphere, today, with a focus on composite technologies.

                                    He also has the immense honour of being the first, and to date,  only practising Orthotist in the world to be admitted to the register of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow as a Fellow of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine. As far as he knows, anyway.

                                    Since 2010, Dave has had an intense and deepening interest in stance control orthoses and, subsequently, in developing the potential for stance stabilised KAFOS. Stance stabilised KAFOs are designed to stimulate neuroplastic development via normalisation of motion after certain types of insult, injury or illness.  This is an emerging practice which requires the support of research to generate evidence for or against such approaches.
                                    Sport has always been extremely important to Dave, and he has managed a few briefly notable achievements in climbing, paragliding and mountain biking until working life stole his focus, completely.

                                    He also has an Olympic Torch from 2012 in his office.

                                    Dave is honoured to be a member of the Executive Committee, the Finance Committee and also Chair of the Education Committee.

                                      Ann-Marie Mariner

                                      COMMITTEE MEMBER

                                      After graduating from AUB in 2008, Ann-Marie began her career as a prosthetic technician at the family-run Dorset Orthopaedic, which later became part of Ottobock in 2014. She is now Lead Technician at the Ringwood branch, with experience across all aspects of prosthetics and orthotics, including bespoke silicone prostheses and functional prosthetics. Ann-Marie has trained both new and experienced technicians in the UK and abroad and is often relied upon for troubleshooting and problem-solving. She is passionate about sharing knowledge, developing others, and showcasing the vital role of technicians within the profession

                                        Nick Gallogly

                                        COMMITTEE MEMBER

                                        Nick is a consultant orthotist and clinical lead at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. As part of his wider role, he has worked in elite sport for over 15 years.

                                          Chris Rowley

                                          TREASURER

                                          I am an Orthotist with an interest in service development, staff development, and the integration of advanced technologies into routine clinical practice.
                                          Chris Rowley’s background is a Royal Air Force Electronics Engineer, qualification as a Prosthetist / Orthotist, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management. He has delivered Leadership courses for an NHS University and worked as a visiting lecturer at Salford and Keele universities. He set up and developed the Orthotics department in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde(NHS GGC), integrating advanced technologies and developing advanced practice posts. He has worked as Prosthetics and Orthotics advisor to UK government, AHP Workforce and Education Lead for Scottish government and Director of Allied Health Professions NHS Greater GGC responsible for governance, regulation and strategic direction of 3,294 AHPs within the wider workforce of 39,286 staff, an organisational revenue budget of £3.4 billion a capital budget of 280 million, serving a population of 1.14 million patients. In the wider NHS he has worked in unscheduled care across Acute and Community setting up the Home First Response service, developing the Hospital at home service, and integrating the call before you convey service in NHS GGC. Chris has now retired from both clinical work and his lifelong passion of aerobatics. Chris still flies, just no more sustained 6G.

                                            Gemma Cassidy

                                            WELLBEING AND EDI LEAD

                                            I qualified in Prosthetics and Orthotics at the University of Salford in 2004.

                                            I have worked as an Orthotist for NHS trusts and private companies seeing patients in the public and private sectors.

                                            I gained my Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Advanced Psychotherapy in 2013.

                                            I have found the skills gained from these qualifications helped me to improve my connections and treatments with clients and team members in the professional setting by linking psychological knowledge with clinical skills.

                                            My interests lie within Orthotics and the impact of AHP’s within the healthcare setting in addition to health psychology and public health.

                                            I am proud to be a member of the P+O community. I have been the Mental Health and Wellbeing lead for BAPO since 2020 and I am passionate about this opportunity to contribute to sustaining the P+O workforce. 

                                              Sahar Wardle

                                                Nicola McCormack

                                                COMMITTEE MEMBER

                                                Nicola graduated from the National Centre at University of Strathclyde in 1991 and has worked clinically as an Orthotist, as well as working in various roles in P and O in NHS Lothian since then and is now Head of Prosthetics and Orthotics Services in NHS Lothian. She has a particular passion for promoting our profession and recruiting and developing staff including succession planning and building career progression pathways.

                                                Nicola is also a clinical examiner at the University of Strathclyde Clinical Exams and a member of the Biomedical Engineering Industrial and Clinical Advisory Group at the University as well as being current Chair of the Prosthetics Managers and Leads group for Scotland.

                                                  Andy Walker

                                                  COMMITTEE MEMBER

                                                  I have been in orthotics for 35 years, starting as a footwear and Insoles technician, working my way up from footwear/insoles Supervisor to Production Manager and Operations Manager, and where I sit now as Contract Review and Technical Support Manager. I see myself as bridging the Gap between the Technician and Orthotist, making sure the technicians understand what the orthotists want and need, and making sure when the orthotist place their orders, all the spec is correct and fully understandable for manufacturing.

                                                  My passion is collating ideas and getting best outcomes for all products made with a meeting of minds of technicians and Orthotists alike.

                                                  Over the years, I have worked with some of the best Technicians in the country and have worked with some amazing, passionate Orthotists who love the work they do.

                                                  It really is a job that makes so much difference to many lives that I will always love doing.

                                                    Sophie Hill

                                                    SECRETARY

                                                    Sophie graduated from Strathclyde in 1993 and with a PhD from Lancaster University in 2012.  After a few years in clinical work, she moved into education, teaching undergraduates on the prosthetics and orthotics degrees at the University of Salford and in Norway at Oslo Metropolitan University.  Sophie currently works at the School of Medicine, Newcastle University, teaching post-graduate health care professionals educational theory.  Her research interests are focused around education, and qualitative research. This is Sophie’s second time on the BAPO Executive Committee, having previously held the roles of Secretary, Vice Chair and Chair of the Association.

                                                      Robert Affutu-Nartey

                                                      COMMITTEE MEMBER

                                                      Robert graduated in 1985 from Paddington and has predominantly worked in orthotics clinics throughout the southeast region of England. He possesses a strong passion for his profession and is committed to advancing the profession of prosthetics and orthotics.
                                                       
                                                      As an orthotist, Robert has a specific interest in spinal bracing as well as in treating patients with neurological disorders, diabetes, and other complex medical conditions. In addition to his work in the United Kingdom, Robert provides orthotic services in clinics in Ghana, where he also supplies orthotic medical devices. Furthermore, Robert is the orthotist for the Broxbourne Borough Cerebral Palsy Football Club, contributing his expertise to support athletes.

                                                         
                                                        Izzet Ozbilenler

                                                        I graduated from University of Salford in 2006 as a prosthetist/Orthotist.
                                                        Following my graduation I worked as an Orthotist in various companies ultimately becoming a clinical services manager in London and South East. In 2016 I started to work as a locum orthotist in London and South East region.

                                                        My clinical interests are paediatrics, neurological conditions and spinal corrections but cerebral palsy is especially close to my heart. I like teaching and I am involved in teaching clinical skills to new graduates following their employment post-graduation. I was a guest lecturer at University of Salford on the same subject.

                                                        I am a keen hiker and enjoy being with nature whenever I manage to take a break from my busy clinical responsibilities.

                                                          Eileen Morrow

                                                          COMMITTEE MEMBER

                                                          Eileen Morrow is a clinical academic orthotist and NIHR Doctoral Clinical Academic Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, specialising in paediatric orthopaedic research. Her DPhil research (the CELLOS study) focuses on improving research for children undergoing elective lower limb orthopaedic surgery. Eileen provides national leadership in strengthening research capacity within prosthetics and orthotics, championing the role of prosthetists and orthotists as leaders in research that informs clinical practice and policy. She previously served as Chair of the BAPO Research Committee and brings extensive clinical and academic leadership experience to the Association.

                                                            BAPO offers a specially tailored membership package for learners at an accessible rate of £49.20 per year or £4.10 per month via direct debit. We believe in continuous support, which is why we offer a 50% discount on full professional membership for the first five years after graduation. This initiative is designed to ease your transition from learner to practicing professional while keeping you engaged with your professional community.

                                                            The BAPO Learner Hub web page brings together a range of resources of particular relevance and use to pre-registration students and degree-level apprentices. Many will also be useful to those completing the Level 3 Technician apprenticeship.

                                                            BAPO employs seven staff members who assist with the running of the organisation. Our current staff include:

                                                            Aoife Healy

                                                            Education and Practice Development Officer

                                                            Aoife is an academic with over 15 years of experience. She recently joined Ulster University as a Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Biomechanics. Prior to this, Aoife was an Associate Professor of Human Movement Biomechanics at Staffordshire University. Through her roles she has experience in developing and delivering research-led face-to-face and distance education programmes, workshops and conferences. She has research interests in clinical biomechanics, with a focus on diabetic footwear, assistive technology, and gait analysis and acts as a Mentor within the British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists Mentoring Programme. Aoife’s goal in her role is to expand the education offering from BAPO for all its members.

                                                              Christabelle Asoluka

                                                              Assistant Education and Practice Development Officer

                                                              Christabelle obtained her prosthetic and orthotic training in Nigeria and currently holds a Master’s degree in orthopaedic and rehabilitation technology from the University of Dundee.

                                                              She has a strong interest in advocacy for rehabilitation policy and its services. 

                                                                Kate Pugh

                                                                Project Support Officer

                                                                Kate has worked within a P&O setting for over 20 years, starting her career as an Orthotic Clerk. Kate started working at BAPO in 2022.

                                                                Kate previously led a sustainability project, which won the CAHPO Greener AHP Award in 2022.

                                                                  Mim Langschova

                                                                  Events & Membership Administrator / OETT Administrator

                                                                  Mim has worked within cancer care settings since 2019, starting her career in a hospital as a radiotherapy booking clerk. She joined the BAPO Secretariat in 2024.

                                                                  Mim previously won a Rising Star Award for creating a brand-new service to support pre-diagnosis and early diagnosis cancer patients.
