P&O Day 2022

As you may know The British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO) is organising the second ‘Prosthetists and Orthotists Day’ on 7 September 2022.

The awareness day aims to raise the profile of the two roles with both health and care professionals and the general public. The day will provide the opportunity for prosthetists and orthotists to celebrate their profession and the benefit these roles have for those patients who access the services they provide.

The P&O Day 2022 working group has created a P&O Day toolkit which includes various assets for BAPO members to use in their place of work to help raise the profile of the awareness day. The team is also developing a series of case studies to demonstrate the role prosthetists and orthotists play in promoting patient wellbeing, health and rehabilitation. Please find the links to this toolkit below.

This year is also the 25th anniversary of state registration for the prosthetist and orthotist profession; so we’re hoping to include stories about what the milestone meant for P&O professionals then and now.

Please add the date – 7 September 2022 – to your diary and share the details of the awareness day with your Trust. Also, if you have a case study or success story to share about you or your team’s role as a P&O professional, please complete the profile template below and email it to alex.drinkall@bapo.com
