Join us for a full day dedicated to exploring patient-centred care through inspiring talks, innovative ideas, and collaborative practice.

Call for Abstracts

BAPO warmly invites submissions from prosthetists, orthotists, technicians, support workers, managers, researchers, educators, learners, and wider AHP colleagues.

We welcome abstracts for:

• Oral Presentations (15 minutes + Q&A)

• Poster Presentations

Submissions should relate to the conference theme “Designing care around the patient”, which may include collaborative working:

  • Within your own team

  • As part of a multidisciplinary team

  • Across stakeholder groups

  • In partnership with your professional body

We particularly encourage entries demonstrating:

  • Improved service user outcomes

  • Innovative service redesign

  • Effective or novel collaborative processes

  • Successful project delivery

Submission Details

  • Indicate whether you are submitting for an oral or poster presentation.

  • Complete the abstract submission form here.

  • Poster presenters will receive an optional A1 poster template and guidance for conference displays.

  • Posters must be A1 size to be displayed.

  • Authors must bring their printed poster to the event.

Key Information

  • Oral presentations: 15 minutes + up to 5 minutes Q&A

  • All abstracts will be reviewed by a selection panel using predefined criteria.

  • If not selected for oral presentation, submissions may be considered for poster display or future events.

  • Poster presenters must be available during the designated discussion session.

  • Prizes:

    • Best Oral Presentation: £200

    • Best Poster: £100

  • Each accepted abstract includes one complimentary conference registration.

  • Electronic poster files must be submitted to BAPO by 10/04/2026.
