This committee deals with the professional issues that affect the Association and its members. It carefully considers issues that have a direct bearing on the daily practice of Prosthetists, Orthotists, Technicians, Support Workers, and Learners. The Professional Affairs Committee is responsible for the publication and development of our guidelines and ethical code.

PUBLIC HEALTH AND SUSTAINABILITY LEAD
I am an internationally trained Prosthetist and Orthotist, from Nigeria, currently practising as an Orthotist with Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. I have over 5 years of practice. I am passionate about leadership, education and preceptorship programmes to ease transitioning of graduates into full practice. My enthusiasm to always learn and improve my skills prompted my joining the BAPO editorial committee to work together with other members in building the BAPO connection and the general association.

Dawn Crofts
COMMITTEE MEMBER
Dawn Crofts graduated from the University of Salford in 1999 with a degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics. She started her career as a Prosthetist in the West Midlands and developed her career to become the Prosthetic Manager at Wrexham Artificial Limb and Appliance Centre. Dawn worked in private practice for several years and had the opportunity to fit some of the most advanced prosthetic componentry available. She has an interest in writing expert witness reports and has studied for a MA in Medical Ethics and Law. Dawn is based in the West Midlands and works for Blatchford Ltd as the National Clinical Lead for Prosthetics.

Tabby is openly autistic, and has a special interest in neurodiversity; through her work with the University and with BAPO, she hopes to challenge perceptions of autistic people both within our profession, and in the wider world.
