Who We Are
The British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO) was founded in 1995 and is the recognised professional body representing the prosthetic and orthotic workforce across the United Kingdom. We advocate on behalf of prosthetists, orthotists, and associate members, ensuring their voices are heard within their workplaces, among multidisciplinary healthcare professionals, including medical, nursing, and allied health teams, and nationally amongst all relevant stakeholders, government bodies, and industry partners.
BAPO is a member of the Allied Health Professionals Federation, a group made up of 12 allied health professional bodies representing more than 158,000 workers in the UK
