The Executive Committee (EC) is accountable to and acts with the authority of the Members. It develops the strategy, policy and direction of the Association and ensures that the Member’s interests are represented in all areas.

Treasurer - Ian Adam (Technician) 
 
Ian Adam  Ian represents Technicians on the EC and is also a long-standing member of the Technician's Committee, becoming its Chair in 2003.  He works closely with the Education Committee developing courses for Technicians. Ian is a Senior Orthotics Technician working at Yorkhill Children's Hospital in Glasgow.
 
Paul Charlton
 
Paul Charlton Image  Paul qualified as an Orthotist from Salford in 1983. A major part of his career has been adopting techniques developed in cerebral palsy to adult neurological conditions. This lead to an interest in neurology and spasticity management. Paul enjoys sharing developed ideas in various presentations to multi disciplinary audiences. He has published his work and been involved in research resulting in award of a Masters degree in 2005. Paul was chairman of ISPO UK NMS from 2008-2011 and continues to sit on the executive committee of ISPO UK. Continuing his interest in promoting his profession, he has set up a number of orthotic interest groups and organises Peacocks annual North East Regional Orthotic Conference

Alex Callaghan
 
Alex Callaghan  Starting within the orthotic profession in 2008, following an excellent placement in Leeds Teaching Hospitals, Alex's passion grew for working with Paediatric patients in many varying settings. His career so far has seen him work in many interesting areas of Orthotics such as Paediatrics, Plagiocephally, Pectus Carinatum Bracing and Legal Reporting.  Alex currently works for Steeper as a Clinical Services Manager for the Orthotics Division. His main duties are to manage the clinical team and clinical development for the orthotics services in Mid Yorkshire, Hull, Barnsley and Lincoln. Alex joined the EC in 2015 as he has a passion to enable the profession to grow to its fullest potential, realising new areas of practice and the advancement of clinical skills for all.
