In 2010 BAPO and UNISON entered into a Service Level Agreement contract whereby UNISON provides automatic membership and a range of additional services to BAPO members following a vote by the membership at the 2009 AGM. This allows BAPO members to have:

• full access to UNISON services - including legal assistance Unison
• advice and guidance on employment issues
• support and representation on professional conduct matters
• indemnity insurance  
• direct and indirect benefits of national negotiating, campaigning and lobbying
 
Other benefits for you and your family through Unison plus include:  
 
• preferential rates from Unison's affinity partners (e.g. cheaper car insurance)
• access to legal advice on personal issues (e.g. free will service)
• access to UNISON welfare support and financial assistance
• membership of the UNISON holiday club and discounts at the holiday centre in Devon
