Membership Levels & Benefits

We have several different membership levels available, the categories and benefits are listed below

CategoryAvailable to
MemberQualified Prosthetists, Orthotists and Prosthetist/Orthotists
Non-practising member - including parental leaveQualified Prosthetists, Orthotists and Prosthetist/Orthotists who are not employed in or associated with the prosthetics and orthotics industry in any capacity.

Current members who are taking maternity/paternity leave have the option to change to the non-practising category. This will allow you to remain a BAPO member and receive updates as well as being covered by insurance for work carried out while you were a Full Member
Technician associateTechnicians working within the Prosthetic or Orthotic industry
Assistant associateA person qualified to practice Orthotics or Prosthetics in a limited area
Student associateStudents engaged in a full time UK undergraduate Honours degree in Prosthetics or Orthotics (or post graduate programme) who are not undertaking any clinical practice
Retired memberA person who has held membership or affiliation to BAPO within the last five years and is not currently practising in any capacity
